To my dear Wall

Dear Wall,
What would I do without you? You have always been there for me as a symbol of strength and solidity. You are a constant factor, not subjected to change.
They say walls have ears, but what they don’t mention is that walls do not have a mouth or tongue. You listen to me pour out my happiness, sorrow and problems. When I speak, I am not looking for reactions or answers or advices, just a listening ear and acceptance without judgment. And that’s exactly what I get from you. I can get angry and throw things at you. You never mind. I also use you as protection and shelter. I hide behind you when I don’t want to face the world. Sometimes, when things become too much, leaning against you is perhaps the best reminder of the fact that the world isn’t actually falling apart.
And when life is all sunshine and roses, staring at you and letting my mind wander is my favorite thing to do!!
You are special. You really are.
Lots and lots of love,
Shyama
