Dancing in the Rain

Dark clouds gather
The thunder sings its tuneless song
Little drops of heaven
Slowly descend on us all
Under black armors
People dodge the elixir
The rest rush in crowds
Towards the nearest shelter
I look at them and smile
What is it they gain?
I stay put
Dancing in the rain

The gentle winds nudge
The flimsy paper boats
They float aimlessly
Always altering their course
No one is there to see
If the reach land, or sink
They are all in a hurry
With no time to even think
I look at them and smile
Today I feel no strain
The world rushes by
I am still dancing in the rain

The clouds clear
The sun makes an entrance
The crowd sighs in relief
Yet they still remain tense
I go on my way
I have forgotten all the pain
Today, my heart feels light
Cuz I danced in the rain

  1. When can we again make paper boats and watch them move here and there and feel sad when they sink?? Will we get at least one day to do that together??
